Father, Elite Fitness Trainer, Athlete...my personal training career began in 2005 when I earned my certification through Professional Fitness Instructor Training in Houston, Texas. Sports and fitness has been a lifelong pursuit of mine, where limitless passion for success in myself and others continues to flame with every new goal that comes in my path. My love for exercising stems as far back as a toddler when my mother would put me on her back for squats and push ups, sometimes shoulder presses, but the best of all was being her vertical leg press machine! Those were really fun times and I believe this is where the “I need to workout” buzz was instilled. Since then, I have been nationally certified multiple times through various agencies with continuing education credits backing my specializations and I've gotten pretty good at exercising to say the least. More importantly, the vast majority of my career has been practical to building a legacy of getting results for people that want to improve their lives for better health and performance. Before, I saw clients as customers, I now see them as relationships. I can honestly say that the excitement from an abundance of happy relationships has earned me a pool of connections to many other potential healthy relationships, where some have failed but luckily many of them have worked out for quite awhile. My success as a trainer is due to Legends Sports Complex and the amazing achievements of the people that I have been fortunate to train, the open environment for allowing my creativity to improve and flourish, the opportunity to be mentored by several of the top trainers in the fitness industry, a lot of trial and error, humility, and certainly forgiveness. I'm very proud of what I do and even more proud that over the years I have personally helped:
• Someone with special needs feel better about themselves and break through barriers they possessed that they never thought were possible
• Young athletes who were told “you can't play”...retain their positive mental focus and continue to outwork everyone until they became the elite athletes that I enjoy watching play on national television
• Adults who were once down and out... who end up losing over half of their body weight...do it with a smile and then go on to become personal trainers themselves...laughing all the way to the bank
• Thousands of gym members and several local fitness professionals find innovative and more effective ways to train healthy bodies
Each person has started from a different place, each person has overcome different obstacles, and each person is a winner in life after hiring someone who wasn't afraid to identify and strengthen their weaknesses and then challenge them to overcome their ideal fear of failure. This journey to fulfill my passion for success in myself and others has only just begun.
I have been a member of the training staff for gyms such as 24 hour Fitness, Fitness Connection, and I was also director of BodyLabs Personal Training Studio in Spring, TX for a year managing club operations, sales, and a staff of six trainers prior to joining the team at Legends Sports Complex as an independent contractor in 2008. In my time at Legends I have instructed cardio boxing classes, cross training boot camps, trained athletic teams from baseball to football, soccer to lacrosse, and in my first coaching experience I took a co-ed youth basketball team to a championship game! I have made and witnessed many memories playing and being a spectator of sports all of my life. Later, I developed TONE System (which stands for The Optimal Nutrition and Exercise System). TONE System has proven to help driven and courageous participants systematize their lifestyle and maximize results. You have fitness goals and we have your customized fitness map and tools that will propel you into action while guiding you in the right direction toward attaining those goals. I live an optimal nutrition and exercise based lifestyle and I enjoy teaching others to do the same.
